The steam rotary joint is designed to transfer steam, condensate, water, or thermal oil between stationary piping and rotating equipment such as dryer cylinders or rollers.
The outer tube of the steam rotary joint is directly connected to the roller tube or dryer cylinder and rotates synchronously with it, which is the main rotating component. The outer tube spherical surface, bottom cover, and sealing ring together form a dynamic sealing friction pair, with the sealing ring floats between the spherical surface and the bottom cover without contacting the housing, which significantly reduces friction and wear.
The spring is located externally and is not affected by the internal high temperature medium, providing stable initial sealing pressure. When the sealing ring wears out, the housing will slowly move away from the shaft head direction with the help of the spring and medium pressure, which can compensate for the normal wear of the sealing ring.
When steam, water, or other media flow through the spherical sealing ring and oil-free bearing, a thin liquid film is formed to provide lubrication and auxiliary sealing. Self lubricating oil-free bearings provide support and guidance between the housing and outer tube.
The steam rotary joint Adopting a reliable spherical sealing structure, it can automatically adjust the center and compensate, and is suitable for equipment with low rotational accuracy, concentricity, and low rotational speed; The simple and effective structure makes maintenance more convenient, reliable material guarantee, and finely researched spherical and bottom planes can provide sufficient service life. When steam, water, or other media flow through spherical sealing rings and oil-free bearings, a thin liquid film is formed to provide sealing and lubrication, thereby reducing friction and wear and extending service life. The steam rotary joint features a compact structure, reliable sealing performance, and does not require additional lubrication, making it one of the most widely used rotary joint types in steam heating systems.
