Hot water rotary joint is used to transport hot water or heat transfer fluids between fixed pipelines and rotating equipment, and are widely used in industries requiring stable heat transfer, such as papermaking, rubber, and plastics.
Hot water rotary joint primarily use bellows compensators and floating sealing rings as their dynamic sealing methods. This balanced sealing structure features double-end face sealing, high stability, and can adapt to higher speeds. The hollow shaft is connected to the roller or drum through threads or flanges, and is the main rotating component that moves synchronously with the equipment. The floating double end face sealing friction pair composed of sealing ring, hollow shaft, and corrugated compensator plays a good role in sealing and reducing wear. The sealing element is completed on CNC machine tools and specialized grinding machines, with a smooth surface like a mirror, making the sealing more reliable and extending the service life. Bearings should be regularly lubricated at higher temperatures.
During operation of the hot water rotary joint, the rotating shaft remains connected to the roller and cylinder, rotating synchronously with the equipment, while the housing remains stationary and connected to the pipeline. The sealing system forms a dynamic sealing interface between the rotating and stationary components. When the medium flows through the sealing surface and bearings, a thin liquid film is formed, which effectively lubricates and seals, reduces friction, prevents leakage, and ensures smooth operation.
