Carbon Fiber Doctor Blade

The Basic Selection Principle of Doctor Blade

(1) Chilled cast iron rollers cannot use stainless steel doctor blade.

(2) Chrome plated rollers cannot use bronze blades.

(3) Steel rollers cannot use steel blade. (stainless steel doctor blade)

(4) Copper rollers cannot use Monel blades.

(5) Composite rubber rollers cannot use metal doctor blades.

(6) Before increasing the doctor blade pressure, replace the doctor blade with a new one.

How to Prevent Excessive Wear of Doctor Blades?

(1) According to professional advice, select appropriate doctor blade materials, loading angles, and loading pressures for different roller surfaces. (2) Regularly check doctor blade system settings and doctor blade wear. (3) Replace doctor blades in a timely manner and do not continue to use excessively worn doctor blades by increasing loading pressure. (4) Pay attention to the spraying and lubrication of the wet section doctor blade.

How to Solve Local Wear and Tear on the Doctor Blade?

It may be caused by static electricity or damage to the clamping frame.

Solution:

The clamping frame needs to be replaced or repaired, and a synthetic doctor blade needs to be used.

Why Doctor Blade is worn corresponding to The Pulp Edge?

This phenomenon is typical wear of the press roller doctor blade, which is caused by excessive lubrication of the roller surface without pulp.

Solution:

It is necessary to open grooves at both ends of the doctor blade to release pressure. (For the doctor blade used for the calendering roll, the doctor blade will also wear due to overheating of the roller surface, which can also be solved by opening grooves at both ends of the doctor blade to release pressure)

Why The Edge of Doctor Blade is Unevenly Worn?

It may be caused by poor roller surface, vibration, or clamping frame. Solution:

Use an abrasive scraper to repair the roller surface, repair the scraper clamp, and eliminate vibration.
